Meet the Founder

Alicia McPherson is the founder and head tutor of Tutoring Worxx, Inc. She is a highly-qualified, certified mathematics teacher, and has been teaching for six years. Alicia has a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and in the 2020-2021 school year she was nominated as PBCCTM Math Teacher of the Year. This nomination resulted from the passion and patience that Alicia has for helping students become confident, independent, and thriving learners. As a person who has overcome many learning challenges herself; she understands the obstacles students face. Her testimony of endurance and strength is used to inspire others to achieve levels of academic success.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower underserved students by providing high-quality tutoring in math and reading to help them improve their performance on state exams. We ensure students learn the practical life competencies required for success in the classroom and life, giving them the tools they need to conquer any challenges they face.
